Stephanie Tyson, NP

I am a board-certified family nurse practitioner, and I am excited to be joining the Prestige Medical team. I earned my bachelors of science and nursing degree at Georgia Southern University. As a registered nurse, I worked primarily at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta on the hematology/oncology floor and in the emergency department. I also worked as a hospice case manager prior to continuing my education at South University in Savannah, GA, where I obtained my master’s in science of nursing. I am also a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. For the last several years, I have been working in hematology and oncology. I look forward to transitioning to primary care, where I am able to develop long-term patient relationships all while focusing on preventative medicine and management of acute and chronic illnesses.

I live in Ball Ground with my husband, our three wonderful children (one boy and two girls), and our super lovable German shorthaired pointer.

Outside of work, you can typically find me at a ball field or gym cheering on one of the three kids in their extracurricular activities. I’m a lover of sports and the outdoors. Some of our best times are spent in South Georgia at our family farm.
